Along the shores of Lake Malawi, fishing is more than an occupation. Nets are repaired by hand, knowledge passes between generations, and daily work unfolds alongside school, friendship and play. These photographs were made while spending time in a lakeside community near Chembe, observing the quieter rhythms of life beyond Malawi’s tourist lodges.
